Maia “Meech” Boakye is an artist and illustrator currently studying at the University of Toronto to receive a Bachelor of Arts in fine art and architecture. Their illustrative work explores life at the margins, playing with colour and magical realism to create narratives. Their studio work examines a post-internet, neoliberal world, often juxtaposing the mundane and the absurd.
