Maia Boakye (Liam) is a 20 year old artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. They are currently studying at the University of Toronto to receive a Bachelor of Arts in visual studies and architecture. Their illustrative work explores life at the margins, often playing with colour and magical realism to create meditative scenes. Their research and installation work focuses on human interactions and behaviors that have developed as a result of the internet.
